An Autumn wedding at Southdowns Manor
Lynsey and Tom were married at Southdowns Manor in October. These two were such a good laugh all day long, they really got the most from their whole day and have many memories of laughter and love to keep forever. I feel grateful to have been chosen to photography their story.
A short video here makes for a lovely run through of the highlights from their big day. The full story and highlight photos follow…
Wedding Preparation: Getting ready for the big day
We start the story on an Autumnal day in October at Southdowns Manor wedding venue near Petersfield in West Sussex. Both the bride and groom got ready for their wedding at Southdowns manor. Lynsey was in the bridal preparation with her bridesmaids mum and flower girls while Tom was in a suite with his grooms men. When you go look through these you might be wondering about the painting. Lynsey had planned a surprise for Tom; a commissioned piece by their favourite artist.
With the children, the surprises and all the upbeat energy of everyone, especially, Lynsey and Tom, the preparation part of the day really makes a big part in their wedding day story.
Weding Ceremony at Southdowns Manor
Lynsey and Tom married at Southsdowns manor. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest who all celebrated which carried on with a drinks reception at the venue. The bride and groom made a quick escape at this point but you will have to read on to see!
Bride and groom photographs
The skies had threatened rain but Lynsey and Tom still went out for a brief escape for some time together. I’m pretty sure it was their energy that kept the weather right! On their return they were greated by guests with confetti. It was great fun to photograph these too and just let them enjoy themselves. Just a small handful of all the photos are shown here. I have a feeling they will have trouble fitting all their favourites into an album!
Wedding Breakfast and Speeches at Southdowns Manor
The room for the wedding meal was set out beautifully for the guests though I think it is the speeches that will be remembered, at least by Lynsey! Loads of laughs, a few happy tears and plenty of delicious food and drink before partytime…
A real Wedding Party!
After quickly slicing the cake Lynsey the bride and groom hit the dancefloor and were quickly followed by guests. So much energy on that dance floor! Great fun to photograph and brilliant to see Lynsey and Tom really going for it with loads of dancing. Just before I left they snuck outside for some fresh air and to enjoy the lit gardens at Southdowns Manor, this makes for a great point to end the story and let the newly weds get on and enjoy the adventures.
Congratulations and thanks to Lynsey and Tom. Great fun to photograph the story of your wedding day!

I love receiving the first initial reaction, especially when it is like this from Lynsey on seeing their wedding preview.
Makes all the hard work worthwhile, to make people happy 🙂
