Whether it’s relaxed portraits, fitness and wellbeing photography, commercial work, or small weddings, my focus is always the same: creating photographs that feel honest, unforced, and genuinely you.
I work in a calm, friendly way so you can feel comfortable in front of the camera, even if you usually don’t.
I’ve been taking photographs for over 20 years, starting long before digital photography made things easy. Learning the craft the traditional way taught me how to work with light, timing, and most importantly people.
That experience means I know how to guide you gently, adapt quickly, and create images that feel natural rather than posed.
I’m drawn to simple living, the outdoors, and honest human stories. Living by the coast in Bournemouth, with easy access to the New Forest and Dorset countryside, shapes both my life and my photography.
Those influences show up in my work as a relaxed, grounded style; images that feel calm, confident, and real.
I work with individuals, small businesses, fitness professionals, and couples who want photography that feels personal rather than performative; images that reflect who they are, not who they think they should be.

Hi, I’m Adam de-Ste-Croix.
I am based in Bournemouth, its new for me since 2022 and the adventurer in me is loving the easy access to the Jurassic Coast, New Forest and of course the beach active outdoors lifestyle.
I am a dreamer with a vivid imagination and despite my school teacher saying this wasn’t good these traits have given me a rewarding career and my own business which I love.
Travel and adventure has always been a big passion in life from my earlier career as an Engineer travelling the world which later led to me exploring distant places as an adventurer carrying out self-planned expeditions; something I still make time for now. I also offer relaxed portrait photography for people who don’t enjoy being photographed.
So why Photography?
Exploring new places led to me creating storytelling photography to send home, telling tales of distant places and the interesting people I met. Wanting to show the true atmosphere of the moment taught me to observe life, people and to study light. I began all this in the 90’s, before digital, so learned photography the hard way, with film and manual settings. But I mostly learned the importance of capturing and connecting moments to create photographic stories; a friendly smile not only gets the shot but makes new friends! This all adds up to how I have created emotive storytelling photography. It allows me to provide people with real-feel documentary, portrait and wedding photography, perfect for branding commercial photography and also creates adventures along the way.
Each year (pandemic pending!) I take a month out to roam around Europe in my self-built adventure van! I also do photography training, talks for Sony at professional photography conferences and run groups of over 1000 professional photographers.
I have a passion the great outdoors. Wild spaces are my favourite places. I love to be hiking rock climbing and bouldering and I am looking to incorporate this into travels and hopefully photography too.
